I just put some in and couldnt be happier. It looked hard at first but really simple after you do your research.
I got the ford mustangs bosch yellow top type III and went in without any problems.
I didnt even have to use some clips that came with the ome injectors. Make sure there 19lbs.

just finished installing my injectors, paid $25 for them and $8 for the new o-rings. came from a 93 mustang. i installed them into a 90 cherokee that had been leaking like crazy. it was worth every penny. seems that everyone posts about it but theres no end results. everyone says this will work that will work. but the mustang injectors will work in a renix.

not true the cobra motors had the 24 lbs and so did the police crown vics

but any way i have completed my swap to the ford injecter just find any 4.6 with the fat yellow injectors and those are it if you feel more comfortable take one of your injectors out and take it with you to the jy and you will notice the the 19 jeeps and 19 ford are identical in shape and plug the 24 lbs ford injector is a skinny injector very noticable in comparision

I just bought some injectors off ebay which they stated would fit my 1990 Cherokee 4.0 . They are 280155700 's. While they will no doubt fit, I'm getting some conflicting info on whether the flow rates are good enough.
Can anyone with some insight please post.

Thanks,
Bob

EDIT: Just got a reply from the seller:

Dylan,
I am a little disappointed at your research. BOSH 0280155703 injectors work in ONLY 1996-1998 4.0L motors and have a flow rate of 22.5 lb/hr. BOSCH 0280155700 work in all 1990-1995 4.0L motors and have a flow rate of 19 lb/hr. If I remember correctly, your Jeep is 90-95. Logic would tell you that you do not need a larger regulator and fuel rail for injectors that flow LESS fuel. However, if you are convinced that 703s are the correct injector for your application I am more than happy to send you a set. Of course you would need to cover the difference in price as I sell the 703s for $139 for a set of 6 as you can see in my other listings. Let me know what you would like to do.

So, that tells me he does not know about the 703's working on '87-'90 jeeps. And that our black injectors have a true output of 22 lbs. I now know I should have done more research, but the guy said they fit.

What do you guys/gals think? Should I just install them and perhaps run lean at highway speeds?

And that's what I wanted to hear, thank you so much! How's your gas mileage? Did the MPG go up a bit?
Dylan

Note: I paid $89 off ebay, they did a great job on cleaning them.

Good and I haven't done any REAL mpg calculations, but I know it is better....better idle snappier on the low end, no hesitation.

Last month I finally got my jeep up, running, insured, and registered.
My jeep is stock right now. The BOSCH 0280155700 injectors work.
I took a trip, and initial estimates are 18.4MPG (a lot of mountain, highway mix). This is after a total top end rebuild and cleaning. My speedo compared to GPS is, 62.5 on speedo, 65 mph on GPS. I'll have to go back to math class to figure out how to 'correct' my numbers on the next run as far as true MPG. I'm getting around 40 on the oil pressure gauge while on the road. My speedo has 317K on it. I have no idea if that's the original engine, but I think it is by the look of the top end when I took it apart. I had to scrape black tar that was thicker than peanut butter off the intake and TB. Thanks for the help!
What an adventure this jeep is going to be!
Dylan
