Default Injectors +30% 99 EV6? Ethanol

Hi

Thanks for letting me and my Swedish 1999 Limited into this forum.

I need your help to find injectors that will increase flow by aprox 30%. Reason is that i will run on E85.
I already go 50-50% with a noticeable increase of power and quicker response. This with the one hole OEM Siemens injectors.

The other reason is fueleconomy. Swedish government clearly hates cars. Gasoline is USD 1.85 per litre. E85 is cheaper.

I now older XJs with Bosch injectors can use SAAB-turbo injectors. I cant use them because they have EV1 connectors. I need EV6. Adapters will not fit because there's no space left between the fuelrail and the conector.

Does anyone know bolt on injectors for my 1999 xj with 30% more flow than OEM?

I don't know the answer to your question, but we do have several members on here who sell refurbished injectors, and they know just about everything about the subject.

You'll find some links about them in this thread. Hope that helps!

It sounds like you need the injectors they use on the 4.7L stroker motors

i would take a good look at your fuel system before converting to 100% e85. that stuff is the best cleaner for a fuel system you can find. it will liquify and pass any gunk that may be in the tank or lines and potentially clog your new injectors. once it’s clean it’s good to go. i changed 3 fuel filters on my ls1 ta before they stopped clogging up.

edit: i know the xj fuel filter is a screen so most likely any gunk would pass and get caught at the injector. also consider any material such as the fuel sock and non metal parts in the fuel system. it’s corrosive and will make mush out of that stuff. idk bout the xjs but i’ve seen it on other old(er) vehicles.

and i highly doubt you notice any power increase mixing it as is. it makes my jeep sluggish and the lack of fuel content could only decrease power.
