got them all in, but some, mainly the first three, the o ring on the top side is showing a little bit. i fought with them three times taking off the rail, lubing them and then guiding the inj. onto the rail, but still some of the top side of the oring is showing from the rail. i cleaned real good where the injector seats, and made sure all orings came out, and lubed the new ones real good. i let it idle for about 5 min. with no leaks, just dont want any problems in the future with the orings. from the pic does it look like this will work, thanks.

also the retaining clips on the new inj. are doing nothing but keeping the inj. from pushing outward towards the rail. and not doing anything to keep the inj, and rail tight against each other????

That picture is a fire waiting to happen. Seat the injectors and the clips into the rail and then install the entire rail as one assembly...
Dude seriously?
wd-40 goes a long way to help getting them seated....
Did they look like that when you took them out? Ummm....I don't think so...

yeah man, I can see some major catastrophic failure in the future if it is left like that. I wouldn't recommend leaving it like that. If properly lubed, you should have no problem getting them all the way seated.

Try using a little wire brush on a dremel tool to clean any scale or rust that may be on the fuel rail injector socket. I had the same problem when I was rebuilding my 4.0. Tryed every lube short of KY jelly. Hmmmmmm No never mind.
Try that and you should be fine with a little oil on the rings.

is there two small retainers inside the main fuel line going to the rail, that you have to depress to remove??
fyi lil red i am a captain of a fire dept. for the past 11 years. i'm sure i have seen many more car fires than you. and i'm very sure mine will not be one of them. i have some pics of two young burnt dead bodies inside a vehicle if its pictures like that you like.i am off work next week so taking my time and doing it right is what i will do, as soon as the carpul tunnel in my right wrist stops killing me.

The pics were there for dramatic effect to get your attention to get you to expeditiously correct the problem you have created. As for carpal tunnel, sorry no sympathy, I've got it ... guess being a drummer, and a certified mechanic causes **** like that...
As for being a Capt of a fire dept... you disgust me for even mentioning having those pics....
I was a fulltime fireman/EMT, and I am certified in HAZ-MAT (was on regional Haz-Mat team) and eventually decided to move on to something that paid better and had insurance for my family. BTW, I'm still a certified EMT... and could go back anytime...
I have had my share of fatalities, dismemberments, structure fires, car fires, brush fire, many hours on the interstate for accidents, worked codes, worked on friends, neighbors, etc ... I have picked up an entire family on a national holiday that passed in a fiery automobile accident ... images that still send chills up my spine every time I remember it ...
So, that being said...
No, they are not right and it needs to be fixed correctly or it will go up in flames.......

BTW, I'll tell you the easy way to get the injector to seat into the rail....
the little retainer clip on top of the injector, if you turn it 90 degrees it'll open up and once it is seated against the rail turn it back into postion then it'll be locked into the rail ... once all the injectors are seated into the rail ... be sure to lubricate the holes the injectors seat in ... line everything up and get then close and just start working across the rail until the bolt holes are seated ...
