Inline temp sensor
I am thinking of adding a inline temp sensor to the upper rad hose. Anyone else done this? I don't trust my gauge cluster one. If you have some tricks and part numbers or any info that would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

U'll get a quicker accurate reading withe sending unit placed in the top heater hose, close to the t-stat cover. Trailtech.com has digital gauge/sending unit temp gauge combos. I believe the 19mm unit is equivalent to 3/4".

However, the big tip is to make sure that the sensor tip is not in a "flow pocket", it must get full flow over it at all times. If you don't, you'll get a false reading.
If you have an early thermostat housing, you can replace it with a later one (has a 3/8" NPT port in it for a sensor,) and use that. The hose bungs will also work, I just don't like introducing a potential leak that great into the system.
