Nope, didn't notch anything. Could you be a little more specific? Yeah, I've been spraying everything down since Friday and all day today during smoke breaks... I've worked on my fair share of broken bolt-mobiles, what a headache! At least it's not the DD so I can take my time and not rush it.

Sorry notch the coil bucket mount by the shock mount. Were the lc arm hits. Don't take to much but take enuf. Get some free flex and it only takes a few min. And the coils would have went in eazyer.

Ahh, I see what you're saying Brutal. I didn't cut it out, but I may get to that after everything is said and done. Thanks for the tip.

Been screwing with the back for a good part of the day. The front leaf bolts have me stumped. The whole thing is taken apart except for those two bolts. The shock bolts even came out without a hitch. Once I got them to turn they were doing fine but now they're just turning but not coming out. I don't think I snapped them, it didn't feel like they snapped and they're both doing the same damn thing. I'm making a drink and taking the rest of the night off before I just open the garage door and just push the damn thing into the woods.

if they are spinning but not coming out, you might have stripped the threads. are you putting on add-a-leafs or new leafpacks?

I know that the front leaf spring bolts on mine were stuck in the rubber, so that when they came out of the lock nut threads inside, they just spun. Try using a pickle fork to pry them out while you rotate them with the ratchet. They'll work out eventually.

Yeah, I could cut them out but I'm trying to avoid that if I can help it. I'll do it as a last resort.

I'm curious about the stuck in the rubber thing. When they're spinning they seem spongy and not spinning freely. I wonder if that's what I've got going on. I'll have to give that a shot...

That's most likely the case then, if they feel spongy and springy. That's exactly how mine felt. It'll take a little bit of work pulling them out, but it's a lot better than having to cut them out.

When you put the new ones in, coat the shaft with a light lubricant, and the threads with anti-seize. That'll help them come out easier if you have to take them out again.

Mine were stuck to the bushing too. I just tacked the busking to the leaf and it worked for me. if you have a welder.

Upon further inspection, it looks like the metal sleeve from the bushing is stuck to the bolt. I did notice that there was a little slot in it so I loaded it up with PB blaster, tried getting some vice grips in there, jammed a screwdriver in it and essentially just beat the crap out of it. It won. I guess I'll attack it a bit tomorrow and if I still get nothing, out comes the sawzall.

On a side note, I did figure out that the 21mm end of a 4 way lug wrench fits on the bolt perfectly and sticks out past the body enough to get a fence post on one of the other ends as a pry bar. Saved my back a little bit anyway!

even try to put some heat on it. it might heat that up enough to slip the bolt off the bushing sleave and u got a new pack so you dont have to worry bout the bushing
