Instrument cluster swap
I own a 98 Jeep Cherokee XJ 2 door with idiot lights, tach & speedo in instrument panel cluster. What I was wondering if wiring/plugs are the same & has anyone changed over to a gauge style with temp/oil pressure/battery/fuel gauge/tach & speedo with a used unit. Thanks for any responses. Dennis

I swapped my idiot lights out for.full guages on my 98. It was a fast and easy swap, just pulled the old one out threw the new one in and it all worked perfect
I cruised Craigslist for someone parting a jeep whose miles were close to mine. I found one within 5k and called that close enough.
If you do, take your dash apart and have it ready to swap right there when you buy it, you can test it to make sure in about 3 minutes
