Default Interesting Heating Issue

I think I have an idea of the issue (blend door, maybe), but want to run the situation by y'all for input.

I recently flushed the entire cooling system to include a good flushing of the heater core. I've got a nice new radiator leak since there isn't any crapola to plug the hole. Replaced the water outlet housing, t-stat and temp sensor and voila, I have heat. The kicker is that it is only on one side or the other for the vents or defrost (vent: driver side gets heat. defrost: pass side gets heat), but the floor heat works great on both sides.

What gives??

No, unfortunately I am not very familiar with the vacuum system and have no clue where to start.

Yes, a very good start.

That diagram brings up another question though. When people are replacing the bumper, are the vacuum res canisters being attached to the new bumper or is it being relocated?

Was just reading the thread cuz i have a heating/ac issue myself.... saw the diagram posted and was curious....what years covered is that diagram? I ask because there is nothing behind my bumper at all. I have what i believe to be a vacuum canister on my firewall passenger side. But honestly i didnt know if it was for the heater/ac or if it had some function with the 4wd. My xj is a 97 if it matters.

Do you have an aftermarket bumper on yours?
