Hey yall, I know some of you have done this to the inside of your heeps, has anyone used rustoleum bedliner the roll on...if so do you have pics, howd it work, etc. I picked up a gallon today and want to make sure itll do ok before i go forward with it


Edit that can in the pic was just regular spray paint that i was orginally going to just paint, which i did and then put carpet over, but ive gone a different route

 

I used it on the exterior parts on my jeep because I like the smoother finish, but I have found that it dosn't seem as durable as Herculiner.

 

never used your product,I have spray on bedliner and it works well."Low Pressure" material is softer and more rubber like with a coarser texture. This makes it more slip resistant. Because it has a 15-20 second gel time it can flow into low places and fill them much better than "High Pressure" can. Due to "Low Pressure's" density and thickness, it is an excellent sound deadener. Body rattle and road noise are greatly reduced. For this reason we recommend "Low Pressure" almost always for vehicle interiors and exterior also.

 

I just did mine last week with the rustoleum roll on bedliner. I like the way it turned out. I'll try to get some pics tomorrow.

 

Never used Rustoleum Bedliner before... But one thing is for sure, the Herculiner really works well for my jeep...

 

Yeah i just finished herculining the inside of my jeep last night the small can was the perfect amount to do the inside now just waiting for it to dry so i can reinstal the seats.

LOL it actually had 2 big holes in the floor board when i bought it a month ago i think all there really was left on the drivers side was a plywood board the last owner put on the unibody frame to keep his feet up . i just welded in both drive and passenger floor pans front and back since the drivers rear was about a baseball size hole also.

Thats why i herculined it kind of to protect my investement in a way i guess lol.

 

my drivers side, pretty much completely gone. passenger was GONE when i got it. the hump where the console is, nothing there. backseat driver and passenger almost nothing. and dont get me started on the cargo area... pretty much anywhere i lift up carpet i can see the frame..... btw where did you pick up the floor pans? sorry cherokee4.0 didnt mean to hijack. i think youll be happy with the rustoleum roll on. its not as rough of a texture as the herculiner but it holds up very well. i used it on the interior roof of mine as well as my rear quarter and along the sides of the doors at the bottom..

I forgot to get some today, will get some with my phone tomorrow. I ended up putting 4 coats down which was about 3/4 of the can.

 

Hey just my 2 cents, but I know a few people that did this to there's and it gets SOOOOO hot inside its not even funny.

I would say use bed liner then install marine style carpet to insulate it and jeep the cabin temps down.

Or you can just melt your shoe soles like they do.

I did mine with the walmart special bedliner and it peels real easy. Might be cause its galvinzed?
