Default IOD fuse?

Ok, I downloaded the manual for the 97 XJ as suggested. It keeps referring to the Ignition-Off Draw (IOD) fuse in a lot of places. After searching everything I could find in this book I finally found a reference to checking the labels on the PDC cover. So is the IOD fuse the "Battery Acc" fuse or the "Ign Acc/Run" fuse? Or am I even close?

Thanks Roler, the image confirmed I'n headed in the right direction. I founf the answer in the manual early this morning doing a deep search on the term IOD. Found the answer on the last page, fuse #16 in the Power Distribution Center. I'm running the diagnostic and testing for instrument cluster. Now it tells me to test the "switched ignition fuse in the junction block" so far all I've come up with on that is two references in the same paragraph. Any hints on what fuse that it? Anyway thanks for the link I may need it, I don't really understand how electrical diagrams work.

Pretty sure the switched ignition fuse is the “Ign Acc/Run” in the PDC(fuse block beside engine)

For what it’s worth, I find understanding electrical terms is like those math word problems in school. Try and reason on what’s being described. The ignition is a switch with 3 positions-off, acc, or run. So switched ignition fuse would be protecting the ccts running from the ignition switch…make sense?

If it's in the PDC then why does the manual want you to test the one in the junction block?
"(5) Check the switched ignition fuse in the junction block. If OK, go to Step 6. If not OK, repair the shorted circuit or component as required and replace the faulty fuse."

I agree their like those math word problems and extremely confusing, but like this diagnostic, how do you know where it ends if all are numbered? heheh.

my bad, just checked the ignition fuses are both in the junction block at the passenger kick panel. On mine it’s fuse 25 for ignition run/acc. I thought it was under the hood.
