I've just about had it with my XJ
It ran perfectly fine this morning on my way to work.
It has plenty of power. My alarms not acting up. Yet it won't start.
It'll sound like it's about to start, but won't actually ... start? I had it start once, gave it a little gas, then as soon as I took my foot off the pedal it died.
I keep having problems after problems with this thing lately, and I'm really just sick of it. If anyone's in the area, come take it for free.
Otherwise if anyone can help me diagnose the issue, or tell me how to fix it, I'm all ears.
92 XJ Limited. A little low on gas but more than enough to start.

If you do in fact have an alarm and you do take your Jeep through deep water like in your Avatar pic, I'd say that alarm is exactly your problem. It is designed to kill the ability to start the motor under a theft condition but, water intrusion may have it doing it all the time. Really, if you are going to 4wheel your Jeep offroad, any unnecessary electronics should be removed or at least you need to do some waterproofing of that stuff.

I just topped up my oil last night.... checked it now, and it's completely DRY.
Soooo I'm stealing a co-workers truck to go get more, I won't try starting it again w/o oil. Could that be the issue?
But holy **** if it is..my leak has gotten considerably worse apparently

Yeah if your Jeep lost over two quarts of oil just since you drove it to work, which is what that means if it isnt even showing on the dipstick, you have got a serious leak.

its very possible there a oil level sensor whic if the oil goes below the activation point of switch it will prevent starting as to not damaghe the motor

Ya it's my rear main
I'm out getting oil now, hoping that's the issue.
Driving my coworkers brand new Ram 3500..I hate Dodge but I'm feeling a tickle to buy one of these. Especially with all of Rusties problems. Ugh.
