Default Jeep Cherokee cutting out

I have a 2003 Jeep Cherokee 2.8 crd, about 2 months ago it just cut out, towed it to the mechanic who had it for almost a month, changing almost everything on the Jeep from the globe plugs to eh injectors, we then send it to an auto electrician who said the computer box wet, we replaced the computer box, had to send it in to Jeep to do the online programming, all done still the Jeep keeps on cutting out, crack sensor was also replaced, please help as we don't know what to do anymore.

If it was a private shop, find out if they checked it for any codes. If they did, what were they? If they did not check, all they were doing was throwing parts at it, replacing parts that may have been good all along. Take the vehicle itself the dealer if you have not already. Or get yourself a CAN bus compatible code scanner.

I have never messed with a diesel, but codes is where i would start.

We did take the jeep to the dealer and they checked the quote, and then told us we must come fetch the jeep as they don't have time to sort this out..... this from the dealer itself.

No no, have them check the codes, not the quote. Have them check the crank sensor, not the crack sensor. Crank is better than crack anyway.

Natasha, you will probably get better help in the correct forum. This one is for the older Jeep Cherokee, made up until 2001.

The correct forum is here.

Sounds like your "mechanics" to date are all on crack. The crack sensor should have identified them.

Air, Fuel, Spark.

Need a mechanic or knowledgeable person to correctly identify which one is missing.

More than likely it is the fuel pressure regulator, when they go bad they return fuel back to the tank causing a serious drop in fuel pressure..that model needs at least 80 psi at the injector for a good adomizing of the diesel fuel.
