Jeep cranks but wont start... whats wrong?
I replaced the crank position sensor thinking that was it clean the distributor ends and am getting a spark. It has some gas in the tank but has been sitting for about 2 months. The last time it was driven was for one day and it stalled and ended up needing to clean the throttle position sensor then fired right up. now it will crank and crank but wont fire. The battery is kinda weak but it is still cranking hard enough that it would be able to start. Any help or insight is appreciated. This is no longer my daily driver but want to drive it on the weekends and wanting to have it running in time for winter.

You can verify fuel pressure by renting a gauge at any autoparts store and screwing it onto the male schrader valve on the fuel rail. It should read 39psi I belive.

try turning on the key but dont start it for 2 or 3 seconds the turn off and repeat this will double prime the line if its afuel line issue then try to start if it does not start pop hood and check the valve at the fuel rail with a standard screw driver if properly primed fuel should come out in a healthy spay.. if it does not then do a check on your 2nd in fuel filter may be clogged, besure to check you fuse/relay box make sure everything is good .if so crawl under and checkyour connectionat the fuel pump make sure its good. then as a last resort .get a replacement kit. i found it pretty easy to rebuild even after watching a youtuube vid or 2. i did not have to drop my tank to remove mine it just unscrews. one thing you have to watch for is theirs a seal/ring small and black you need to make sure it does not fall into the tank when removing or replacing.i been having a similuar issue with my 96 and i crawled all over it replacing damn near everything . i localized it to fire so been tracing it hope to have mine running soon just
