Jeep won't start. New CPS...
So this started last week. I noticed it was taking a couple of time to start it up. I was at a stop light and I turned on the AC and it died. Took about 10 mins to fire back up. Tested when I got home and it again died when I turned on the AC. After that I will not fire up. The starter turns over, fuel pump working and the fuel hits the rail at 45-50 psi. Battery is good. All fuses check out. I changed out the crankshaft and the cam shaft position sensors. Still nothing will not fire up. Anyone have advise on what to check next?

Next thing I'd check is spark. There's a couple different ways of doing it. Easiest way for me is to just take an extra spark plug and plug it in to one of your spark plug wires and ground it on engine... have someone turn the key to engage the starter while you observe the spark plug. Should be a strong snappy blue spark. Anything less and it might be enough to keep your Jeep from starting.
If you're getting strong spark, and decent fuel pressure, then I might check to see if your injectors are firing. You also need compression so if everything else is good, then I'd move on to a compression test, but I'm guess you'll probably find something wrong in the spark or fuel delivery

That is one thing I had thought about but hadn't done yet. The spark test on a 2000 is a little more tricky. You have to pull of the coil pack and test all at once from what I have read. Wouldn't there have been other symptoms if the coils were failing though or a check engine light? It never idled rough or anything.

Oh that's right... you guys have to ground all 6 plugs or something... I'm not real familiar with the technique, but I'm sure there are threads on here that explain it. As for other symptoms, its hard to say exactly because you don't know what's missing. Figure out what is missing... fuel, spark or compression, and then you can start troubleshooting the correct system. Until then, you're just guessing in the dark.

What brand CPS did you get? There are multiple reports from the field about non-Mopar brand CPS units DOA right out of the box. No spark can also be caused by a faulty relay. If I remember correctly, the ASD relay is the one that can cause that condition.
