worst. spot. ever for that sensor. But its changed and man what a difference. No stalling, Feels so much peppier and faster, some mpg came back and seems to idle alittle smoother than before. Worth the labor instead of the dealer charging me 890 dollars to install it.....

cool.... and people don't call them "stealerships" for nothing. lol

Curious...what lead you to the CPS being the culprit? over several other things that could cause similar issues on these old XJs?

I tested it extremely lol. So i began to suspect it was a heating issue so i tested the cps while cold and worked fine and dandy no beeping in terms of resistance on my multimeter. Come to it being all warmed up i shut it off and tested it again and it beeped at me and then promptly after after i started it it cut out and wouldnt start. also some funky cold starts were happening as i start it up itll have a big miss and then catch itself. But during being very cold it happened. I know this is very informative and a blunt answer but i suspected it being the cps as it has never been changed and looking at symptoms of other jeeps online and a friend who changed his recently after having funky issues as well they went away after changing the sensor. and the extreme testing i (simulated) a hot day as it was the day it acted up by blocking the rad until it hit 200 degrees to 210 as it did heat soak alot and sure enough it triggered the stalling as it did when it acted up on me. So then typically it takes 15 to 20 mins to start back up again depending on how much it cooled it ran for 30 seconds after letting it cool down by itself but i then blew a fan on it for 5 minutes and it idled and ran for a good 5 mins before it cut out again.
