Jeep xj steering slop.
So I have two questions for those reading.
1. Do you think that play in my drag link could cause a decent amount of unforced pull in either direction?
2. Given that it is my dragline, do y'all know the name of the item that goes thru the bottom part of the pitman? Is it simply a tie rod end, or is it something similar, but not exact?

1) Could be. Jack up the front of the vehicle and have someone steer back and forth while you look for loose items.

3) Perhaps a worn steering box?
