i just want to know/make sure these garbage nut strips will hold what the jeep is rated for.

don't buy this JRC junk.. one isn't sitting flat in there. the other looks like one of the middle serts is off center... so not worth the money.

Just looking at a picture of those JRCs is enough to make me look for something else. Nutserts are great for low-load applications....

I just checked the Quadratec site, and they are only carrying the JRC. No Crown nut sets to be found.

Well, time to look elsewhere! Not find them in the usual hangouts...

EDIT: Found them at 4wheelparts.com.

thats a lot nicer then the jcr junk. it even has the 5th hole like the factory ones have. can't imaging why jcr wouldn't include that extra hole.

i ended up trashing the jcr nut strips. they didn't sit flat in there, didn't line up correctly and didn't have that last hole. pure junk..

In my opinion, you would pull out the whole tow bar before the nut inserts would ever fail either way. When there's four nuts, each only holds 1/4 of the load. There's 8 total (left and right), just do the math. The frame rail would probably rip before the fasteners would give out. People like to over torque these set-ups too. Follow torque instructions and I'm sure they won't spin out (unless they are a bad product from the get go).

like i said. i trashed them. they didn't sit flat like they should and didn't line up properly. maybe i got a bad one who knows. the ones i had sucked.

i always torque to specs when i'm able to.

my hitch is on and the jeep is back together so i'm happy. just pissed i wasted my money on that junk from jcr.

Those are built to better specs than the factory ones.. So they will handle what the jeep can handle.
