Default Judgment Call - 2001 Coolant

Alright guys, I need to know if I'm worrying too much or if I have an emergency on my hands.
I took 2 shots showing the coolant loss for one week's commute of 270 miles, last Sunday and today. The pictures were taken with the engine cold.

I already know I have some coolant contaminant in my oil per a Blackstone oil analysis. They recommended changing the oil at 2,000 mile increments until I can get it fixed. No obvious oil contaminant (emulsification) and no obvious external coolant leaks.
I'm thinking about sending in another oil sample at 2,000 miles since on my first one I was unsure of the exact mileage I had on the oil.
The head was replaced by the P.O. Maybe it's cracked or maybe the head gasket is leaking, I should be so lucky.
With 67,855 miles on it and in otherwise near perfect condition, I'm prepared to fix it either way.
1. Is that much coolant loss in 270 miles critical?
2. Am I worrying too much?
3. Should I get it fixed quickly?

Shouldn't need to add coolant.....need to get it fixed.

1. yes
2. no
3. yes

Coolant in engine oil can eat up bearings.

At the very least change your oil often and do not use a silicate based anti-freeze....better yet use a propylene glycol antifreeze like Amsoil or Sierra it is bearing friendly. You may have a cracked 0331 or just a gasket leak. You could try some GM stop leak tablets sold at GM dealers,if it stops the coolant loss it is most likely the head gasket. Use the recommended amount, don't over do it.
