Saw this funny looking cherokee at the junk yard so i took some cell phone pics for ya guys.




Someone did some customizing like it musta had tvs and other stuff installed.

There's a guy on another forum, he's doing something like that to his '98. He took the camper top from a VW and is almost done getting it all installed. He did a lot of fab work, all pretty much himself.

Those were built by a company called Explore (no longer in Business as far as I've heard) they built some XJ's and some ZJ. Very cool and rare.. Nice pics and thanks for sharing..

you thinkin of explorer van here in indiana? if so, they are alive and kickin. i drive past them everyday going to work.

What is that rowboat doing on top of that XJ?

I dunno...I'd be worried about sacrificing the structural integrity of the unibody by removing the metal roof, unless it was caged.

I was thinking the same thing, I for see somthing like that being in a roll over or side impact and the welded seem around the top breaking and the cherokee folding in like a taco... Any one know if that's DOT approved j/k don't won't to open a can of worms like that.
