Thumbs up just did the 784 injector swap

i just did the 784 injector swap on my '01 XJ. i bought the injectors from Programbo and searched the forum for instructions. The instructions were fool proof( which is important for me). I didn't think my XJ could run any smoother but it does now and i have a little extra jump when i need it. I will have to let you know about the gas milage, if it is better or not. Anyways thanks to everyone who has helped me on this and every other thing i have asked about. Without you guys i would be more broke than i already am. Later !!!

ya me too. the swap only took an hour and the only problem i had was i ripped one of the o-rings when putting the injector back in. So have a couple of extra o-rings handy just in case. anyway, i will keep you posted.

just the rebuilt injectors, extra o-rings, and a new o-ring for the fuel line where it connects to the fuel rail and some white grease. expect to break some of the locks on the electrical connectors... i figure mine are 10 years old. Oh and search for the instructions on here. they are great. Good luck its relatively easy. Trust me if i can do it anyone can.

Yeah, I did the 703's on my 89, and it was maybe the easiest and least difficult job that I have ever done on my Jeep to date.
Plus I didn't get my hands dirty. :-)

ok here is the first update on MPG after the swap. Tank before swap 240 miles first tank after swap 280 miles. same type of weather same drivng places. when i filled up i was at 1/8 of a tank so the last 1/8 is a guesstimate based on the the first 7/8 of the tank. It could be more due to the fact that my fuel needle travels below the line so it could be up to 300 miles to the tank. so thats about 3 mpg improvement. We shall see what its like after the computer adjustes to my driving habits. SO far so good! oh and i am putting newplugs in her today.
