I would replace coil pack, put new plugs/ wires in and refresh all the grounds. I had a similar problem, random misfire. One of my plug wires was arcing because they were really old. Replaced the above and it fixed it.

I believe he has tried swapping plugs and coils, and it doesn't have plug wires.

Had the same code on my 2000 xj 4.0. I noticed once I removed the power wire from the injector there was some corrosion on the injector pins. Once I cleaned that up cleared the code I haven't seen a return for a least three weeks.
