keeping stock trac bar with RC 4.5 lift.. help
I just got my RC full leaf 4.5 lift. It didn't come with an adjustable trac bar. I'm gonna have to drill a new hole on the mounting bracket on the passenger side as I'm sure all of you know.
I'm supposed to drill 3/4's of an inch across on the mounting bracket. How can I make sure that this is gonna be exact? Cause I don't wanna mess this up. Is there anything speacial I should keep in mind. Any secret tips? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance fellas.
It's on my 99 cherokee by the way.

Have you checked out XJ Strykers writeup on this, it is pretty informative...

I measured over 3/4 inch and marked it, then center up a punch and give it a couple whacks. This will help keep the bit from wandering when starting to drill. Then drill out the mounting bracket 2 times using progressively bigger bits which should help keep you as centered as possible. Just do the best you can to drill straight into the bracket. I am still running my stock trac bar on Rough Country 4.5" lift
