Default Kick down cable

How do I adjust it? I need to make sure it tight to spec. Everytime it's in 4th gear and when I go up hill, it won't change it until my gas pedal is almost all the way to the floor. So, I need to adjust it or check it.

To adjust the TV cable you:
1: Push in and hold the release button
2: While holding in release button, push "conduit" in as far as it will go
3: Release button
4: Rotate throttle to WOT, some people do this with the gas pedal. Others do it from the engine compartment.
5: Hold at WOT for a few seconds, cable should ratchet out a click or two.
6: Your TV cable should now be properly adjusted, take it for a test ride.

To replace the cable you will need to drop the trans pan. Is that what you're asking?

yes.. you have to drop the trans pan?? so i gotta drain fluid all that bull just to replace the cABLE?? i hav a 97 cherokee sport. 4.0. 4wd. i heard its along side the left side of the tranny?

im also asking if its possible to just go to junkyard to get black clip and dremel off the old crimp and recrimp with a new end crimp.. that seems to be the easiest by far. im not droppin my pan.. is it really nesscary??

(4)I should know this by now, but how do you rotate the throttle body from the engine compartment? I 've seen people do this while its running to hear the engine. But I've having trouble finding the spot to rotate.

theres a part with a spring attached to it, the part on the left side of the picture here

it will only go one way, twist it till it stops
