Well, I adjusted the butterfly Aaand.....you can see a gap on half of the plate, between the throttle bore and the butterfly. But it does idle around 1200 now which is better then the 2000 I was getting. I reckon I'll go ahead and get a bored out Tb since I've already got the best stock intake

I took out enough throttle bodies and I ll tell ya what I saw. Nearly all of them have very small gap between the butterfly plate and the wall. Probably paper thin like 15 thousandths All normal.

For reference, it should be squared off with the TB, not bent at an angle.

I don't have a pick of it but the gap is a little more then paper thin, more like the butterfly got shoved over 1/32 in the bore, leaving the other side with a gap
And the set screw did get adjusted and it seals nicely, save for the gap on one side

Loosen up the butterfly to shaft screws. Back off the throttle stop screw til the butterfly touches the bore of the throttle body. Tighten the butterfly to shaft screws. Re-set the stop screw per my instructions.

Make darn sure the driver you use in those screws fits perfect. You don't need any brass, (or metal) shavings in your ring groves. It's this little stuff that can really make your day!

Oh I'll be pulling it off the intake to do this lol, is there anything I could get to try to help it seal? Like a rubber liner or something to make sure it seals all the way around?

If it's really off center, (meaning one side hits, and that leaves a gap on the other), likely someone monkeyed with it, or there is a screw loose. I've seen that on a carb butterfly. (loose screws) Pulling, cleaning, inspecting the TB is a fine idea. Myself though, if the screws "give it up" easily, I might just re-center it. I think I'd tap it some with the stop, and plate screws loose, then snug the plate screws and re-check.
