lca drop brackets.
so i put a basterd lift together and i hate it already. its been in for a day and it sucks. im ordering a 3" rc lift on mon. and was wondering if i should keep the 2" bb in it and add the 3" to it? if so are the lca drop brackets worth buying. i have a long arms on the bottom bt stock up top, any feed back would be great.

So, if I read this right you have a 2" Budget Boost on your jeep now. You have long arms for your lower control arms and stock uppers. I'd like to know who in the hell sold you a set up like that cuz if the guy knows anything about XJs he should be shot. If you really do have long arms then when you mounted them they should have come with their own cross member or mounts that you hard mounted to the frame rail behind the stock mount. If you do in fact have a lower long arm that you used with a 2" lift then you must have had to cut the stock lower arm frame mount off to keep the long arm from hitting it. Exactly, what kind of lower, long arm, control arms do you have and how are thery mounted?
You are so correct in calling this a bastard lift. This is the craziest set up I've heard of to date. Most likely not your fault but, the fault of a parts guy trying to make a buck.
My top recommendation is what you have already decided. Go with the 3" RC country full lift kit. Buy it all at one time don't put together another bastard set up.

i thought it didnt look right, this is our trailer jeep and i never actually drove it on the street till yesterday. btw this is the way i bought it, and trailerd it home. no the lower mounts are still on it and yes it has fact. uppers still. i make long arm kits myself but mine are a spinoff of the rustys style. thought id give the crap a try, didnt really have my expect. to high i only paid 200.00 for it cause it had a leaky fuel rail. the guy i got it from looked like a tweaker if u ask me, i also found the track bar bolt was only on two threads. my biggest mistake was byuing it at night. the good thing is that it has more parts that i can salvage and hopefully make a few bucks back. at least i got a clean title from him, so i know its not stollen. oh it also has a chry. rear end. thats good right.

Do you mean longer arms than LONG ARMS?
The chrysler 8.25 is always a plus over the Turdy-5
The drop brackets are worth every penny. I have them and if i had to build another 5" kit like i have now, i would do it the same way with these brackets. The difference is night and day. When it comes to lifting and ride quality, it's mostly all about angles (control arm angles). The steeper, the rougher. Shocks can also make the ride terrible if they are super stiff, like Rancho 5000's.

Not tryin to highjack but where is a good place to get drop brackets for the LCA's ( I have Rusty's 4.5 LCA's) and the bracket for the adj. trac. bar (RE) or should I just get them from Rusty's and RE?

Take your pick. They are all about identical, except a few pieces different here and there. Go for the price that fits you. I run the RC brackets and no issues. 3 day shipping is nice
