Leaf Springs
I am installing a 3 inch rough country lift next week and have decided that I don't want AAL but I am buying the lift through car parts which is about $100 cheaper than the rough country site's AAL lift. What are some decent but cheap leaf springs that I can put on that will do the job? Any info would help.

You go to a Junkyard and get them from an S-10. Then you mix and match with your current spring, to build a set of spring that give the lift and performance you desire. There is no set combination to use, Since for the most part this project uses USED parts.

Does it matter what year S-10 I take the springs from?

Not from what I understand. In fact almost any 2.5" wide spring can be used. SUA type can have more arch. S-10 is common because of availability, spring rates closer to XJ, is SUA.
