Default Leak issues

So maybe this has been discussed before. But when my jeep sits no leaks, when I drive it I leave a happy little trail...thoughts...suggestions??? I noticed that the bell housing has a drop of tranny fluid, could this be a rear main seal issue? Thx in advance.

If it's engine oil, the usual suspects are the valve cover, oil filter adapter, or rear main seal. If the back of the engine block is wet, it's probably the valve cover. If the passenger side of the engine and starter are wet, the look at the oil filter adapter. Does it leak just sitting there idling, or only when moving?

If that's actually trans oil, it's likely the front seal on the transmission. You should be able to pull the inspection cover off the front of the bell housing and see if running down the inside of the bellhousoing.
