Leak from left axle shaft
I was wheelin yesterday and after driving on the road for a few minutes I noticed a nasty racheting/clicking sound coming from the front differential case around 30-40 mph. It stopped after driving for a little while and the sound is gone now. Tonight I noticed that there is oil leaking from the left side of the axle shaft. I recently took out that shaft and replaced the u-joint. I have an Aussie lunchbox locker up there too. What do you think the problem is? Any input is highly appreciated.

Yea I will have to open up the case and replace the seals. I guess the noise I heard for a little bit could have been caused by a part of the seal getting caught in the gears or something? I am hoping I didn't chip any of the teeth off the ring and pinion.

yea when removing the shafts and replacing them, it is always good to replace the seal if it is more then 10 years old
