Thx for the detailed answer. It does allay my concern somewhat. I live right next to the ocean. Typically vehicles are destroyed by rust from the top down, due to humid salty air. Under windscreen seals is common.
It must be prevented and attended if it develops. (eventually rain will leak thru rust holes). There is a pocket under the lower corners of the rubber seal. I will continue to treat the area with rust preventative
