Lets play tell me where the o ring goes! Pics
So I bought the 107 dollar special from advanced this weekend when my radiator blew. Here's the problem the elbo for the lower trans cooling line is leaking. The instructions suck and the clearnance is such that I have to remove the radiator to fix it. So in the interest of my sanity where should I stick the o ring.

actually that is a flare fitting, the oring there won't do any good, it goes on the other side up against the ridge that slides into the quick disconnect. Make sure the old oring is completely out. Or buy some rubber hose the same diameter as the tube there and cut the quick disconnect off, use a couple clamps and good to go.

I'm not really familiar with the trans lines, but know pipes and fittings pretty well. That threaded end presses the end against the rubber in the rad to make a seal there I'd bet.
It's my bet on the other end you need to slide the O ring off and put some other fastener on the tube, (a nut or clip) then the O ring. Then when it's installed that fastener squeezes the O ring for a seal.
If theirs a fitting on the "receiving" line, check that there is not an old O ring already in there. Another photo of that?
Maybe it's just not a match? As coach says, you can just use fuel line and stainless screw clamps and be good to go. Hope that helps!

With me, it's an old habit to use teflon tape on the threads and tighten it down good. I may have done it wrong in the past but I have never used an o-ring in a flare fitting.

Teflon tape is for sealing threads. Looks like on that deal the end snugs up against the rubber in the rad. Whoops! Looks like the "flair" fits on the yellow "bell shape" in the Radiator fitting.
Pretty sure the O ring is for making the seal on the other end.

i wish I knew how to use photo shop, there should not be an oring on the threaded part or in the radiator. This is a flare fitting, the flare makes the seal so no teflon tape on the threads is needed. The oring goes on the smooth end that attaches to the quick disconnect on the hose and as cruiser says there should be two.

It's leaking from the fitting where it screws into the radiatior not the quick disconnect. I have to pull the whole radiator out to screw the elbo back in. Then I have to put it all back together. Correct me if on wrong but this is the same as a double flare on a brake line and I've never used o ring ons them. Could the o ring actually be causing the leak?

The oring is probably causing the leak, it's not letting the flared surfaces mate. Pull your airbox and you should be able to get to it without pulling the radiator.
