so my plate light stopped working the other day in my 95 xj, so i decided to check it out today, and noticed my bulb was black as **** and was obviously burnt(metal conectors in bulb were toast)..

so i go in y yard to y 98 xj, and pull the bulb from it and it looks in top shape, i put it in the 95...and t doesnt want to work...the bulbs look the same, is there a diff in the 95 plate bulbs and the 98?

where else should i be looking?

 

It's probably blown too. Why don't you just go buy a new bulb?

Do you have a volt meter?

 

no volt meter...

the other one was working fine last spring, then i parked the jeep, bulb still looks fine, but i will pick up a new bulb on my way to school just in case, but if that dont work just wondering what else i should look for
