Some older f150/Bronco coils will give you 3"+ from what others have used. But itll also make your XJ ride like a freakin tank too. Theres not enough weight on them for those springs to be happy.
Id get a 2" spacer or stack a few stock coil insulators and GC v8 coils.

hes probably going to make a bastard pack out of some s10 or dakota leaf springs. or if he only wants 2" he could get some f150 lowering shackles from autozone for $29.99. hey hylander, im just curious also.. you have a 97 xj with a d35??? thats somewhat odd to me..are you 100% on that?

Why is that Odd ?
Is it a good or bad thing ?

idk, its either way, alot of people dont like the "turdy 5" simply because they blow alot more than other axels and they werent built as well as some others (8.25). some people will say that theirs performs fine and others will swap them out immediately. the reason i say it is odd is because your model year (97) is after they made the changes from the 8.25 27 spline to the 8.25 29 spline which happened in the 96 model year. the d35 isnt too common in these later model years but since yours is right after then obviously they were still putting them in. thats a nice lookin xj tho, alot shinier than mine lol. auto? 5 speed?

F150
The F150 springs dont make it ride rough matter of fact I thought it rode better than ever due to it being more stabel. and you get more flex than you would think.
