Lift Law info.....
I applaud roughcountry.com for providing this information , but it's very limited and should only be used as a very general guide. State DMV for should be contacted for verfication etc.
Example: For NJ their site states - No more then 4" lift otherwise listed as high rise and must have stability test.
While the above is true, a rig with a 4" lift and larger then OE tires will still fail. The 4" limit is 'total lift', which includes tires, blocks, etc. It doesn't include dozens of other factors, such as maximum tire size, maximum lift allowed etc.
By far the best (and only that I know of) NJ high rise inspection web site is below. This site covers virtually everything for modified trucks unless they are so highly modified they would fall under 'reconstructed'.
