lift question
ive heard from a couple people that if you go above a certain inch lift (3 generally) that you need a different drive shaft or something like that, i dont know if that is true, i am in the process of getting ready to decide how high to lift mine and am just lookin into anything that would come back to bite me in the *** if i didnt know about it before hand

i did 3 with coils and ba$tard pack in the rear.got pro-comp shocks for 3.5 inch lift.moved the brake lines down-easy.thats it well i got new tires and rims.its very easy and i did the HOLE lift for under 200.

It seems to vary with vehicles, but many rigs can do 4.5" without driveshaft modifications.

im lookin at doin a 4.5 and in the kit it says it comes with a driveshaft drop kit, is that what people are talking about as far as driveshaft modifications, or is it jsut gettin a whole new one

There are SOOOOO many threads that talk about exactly this i bet if you look at the first few pages of Cherokee Chat you will have your question answered ten fold.

Most of the time everyone refers to those as transfer case drops. I think that is a more accurate description.
