Well as the title says i have continuing issues with lights. well here is the history Bought the jeep blew out the switch, replaced the switch, upgraded the lights( worked for 3 months killed another switch), ordered the wiring upgrade installed that, got a faulty switch. well two days ago i got the new switch in and had all the lights (finally). Low and behold went to go out and no dash and tail lights, i am getting frustrated am tempted to get rid of the switch a install my own. anyone wanna talk me off the edge..

If tail light fuse blows you will also loose dash lights . I would check to see if you have wiring for a trailer that can be shorting out , or if some added some wiring behind the tail lights .

I'd start by checking all connectors for the lighting system for any corrosion along with all grounding points. A point of high resistance may be causing the circuit to try and pull more current than it should. Also check all of the bulbs in the side light circuit to make sure they are the correct rating.

well i believe that i got the issue fixed, the tail lamp fuse was damaged/ partially melted from bad connection from corrosion in the fuse box. also found a few other fuses with similar issues just not popped yet, cleaned the panel with electrical contact cleaner and a very small file. All systems in the jeep except radio memory but i think its the PO who installed the radio. Thanks all for the suggestions.
