I have searched this forum before joining as I have not found my answer. I have found similar issues, but no real answer.

1995 Cherokee sport. I also have an 88 Pioneer as a parts jeep. I switched the headlight harness, fog lights and fog light switch from the 88 to the 95. Everything was plug and play EXCEPT the fog lights. After fixing an issue with the driver side parking light, all exterior lights worked minus the reverse (not the issue I'm chasing at the moment). While attempting to get the fog lights to work, I tried wiring in a power wire to the wire that was in pin #9 on the body side of the harness to get power to the switch thinking that was the issue. After getting power at the switch but still no fog lights, I attempted to swap pins 9 and 10 as they both go to the fog light switch. This is where the problems started. when pulling out the headlight switch the side marker and running lights only work at a specific point between the off position and first on position of the switch. Headlights come on as they should at the second click but no other lights. Dash lights would come on as well but now do not turn on at all. Put in a new headlight switch, checked fuses and relays. Checked the tan/black wire going into the dimmer switch on the column and getting power to it. Checked the violet/white wire at the dimmer switch with power at that connector. Grounds at the connector for the headlights under the air box all show voltage showing they are connected to ground. What else can I do to get these lights back? I'm no expert in wiring and am at a loss as to where to look/diagnose this issue. Please help!!!! Also, I did not install an aftermarket radio, it has a non working factory radio however the previous owner had some kind of system in it as the speaker wiring is not factory. From everything I am seeing the factory headlight harness shouldn't have pins at 1 and 9 and this one has pins at all 10 spots.
