so, i am finding that when left outside, my xj likes to rain inside(a leak)

so, i was looking around the roof of it since i have the headliner off.
the entire track like thing on the outside of the interior roof is rusted. my guess is the roof rack is leaking. so, should i silicon around all the holes on the roof rack, or can i fill that interior track thing with foam insulation. the stuff you buy in cans at homedepot

 

I would remove them then seal it up with rtv or silicone during reinstallation.

 

thats what im thinking. i mean i love the free shower during the car wash, but i dont think my passengers will

I'd also get rid of the flaky rust and us pore to seal it.
