That would probably be your best bet, plus you get to find out EVERYTHING that your XJ is equipped with.

Where are you located in MI by the way?

My build sheet has some things on it that weren't on my Jeep. something about chrome side mouldings which it doesn't have. OP Is there a sticker in your glove box saying something about a locking type differential?

if you have time to call for a build sheet
you have time to jack one wheel up put it in neutral and see if the wheel turns or not

if it has two tags on the diff cover you have limited slip
if not you my have but need to check cus the tags get lost if the cover is removed

thats what im saying...thats why i was suprised when he told me he never has time to jack it up...takes 1 min to jack up, turn one wheel to see if its limited slip or open, then lower the jack, pull jack out from under the jeep, and ready to drive
