Logins Metal Products Front winch bumper
OK so i posted this in my build thread but i thought that everyone should know about these bumpers. i like mine a whole lot. it came a week later then originally stated by Jamie at LMP but it was in good condition. read on for more info:
ok, here is some pics i took of mine after recieving mine in 3 weeks not 2. i too was missing the 14 bolts and had no instructions. i painted mine myself and came out pretty good. i am satsified. here are my build pics:
i finaly got the bumper in and got it on in less then an hour! i re-adjusted the long arms to a +1 turn on the drivers side and -2 turns on the passanger (making it shorter) to make a axle to axle measurement of 88 inches on both sides. no more rubbing sway bar. but here is some pics of the bumper and how it was installed. cant wait to get my winch on tomorrow!
here it is all wraped up and safe
all the pieces are here, or so i thought, ended up missing 14 bolts with an IOU in the box!!!
Before paint, all cleaned
Primered, ready to go
ran out of black primer so i used gray, who cares not gonna c it anyway!
Frame extentions for the new bumper, they use the steering box bolts and re-enforce it with 1/4" steel!
last bolt goes all the way through the frame, also the fingerprints give it style!
both sides mounted
pasanger side utilizes one of the old bumper mount bolts
bumper is installed and painted, looks good!!!!!!!!
winch goes on tomorrow, wife said i have to come in for dinner
With all that lift, lights and High Lift Jack on my rack...and i still fit in the garage!
This is my at 4wheel parts picking up some D-rings….love the bumper btw…no action shots yet, still need to put on my SYE to be completely off-road ready.
I cant wait to get on my SYE cause i want to see what this thing can do. i was very satisfied with my bumper and the install is kinda self explanatory so no instruction needed if you are at all intelligent. if you change your own oil, you can install this bumper. i would like everyones opinion on this bumper so as to things to avoid, things they liked and as many pictures as you can upload as possible. look forward to everyone's reviews, and will check back every day. BTW...Love Cherokee forum...it is a life saver most of the time!

Nice looking bumper but I would reinforce the mounting. 4 Bolts is not much to hold on a winch bumper unless there are other brackets you did not show pics of.
My homemade rear hitch is held on with 6 grade 8 bolts and I still worry about it sometimes.

yea actually every bolt is used. 5 bolts to the frame and 5 bolts to the bumper each side...i just forgot to take a picture of them all, i will get a better shot tomorrow. same here on the grade 8. i am actually more worried about cracking the uni-body before i rip the bumper off

I think this is the same bumper I have. I bought the XJ recently and the bumper was already outfitted. I am looking for a rear bumper. Do they make rear bumpers as well, website?

I love the look of the bumper. However I buid bumpers to mount a hole lot differently. My last one had 19 bolts on the frame side the bumper side was welded on and triangulated. But a vary nice clean look how much did it cost?
