seriously, for 5+ go long arms, or RE drop brackets. but don't waste your money on rough country drop brackets, or any other for that matter, once you compare them to RE.

i came from RE 5.5 extreme duty with drop brackets, to custom Staangs Fab long arms. not a whole lot of ride difference, but the giggle factor is up.

Just my 2cents..... I'll stay with short arms, no reason for me to go long. I have a 2000 cherokee with a 4" lift and 32" tires. Check this out;

They have some good options for the peeps that don't want to go long.

I went wheeling yesterday with a guy that has short arms on a 4.5" lift. We were on a rough road with lots of bumps. You could see that his ride was a lot more choppy than mine. He still had lots of fun, but I could see that my long arms were smoother on the bumps. If you are comfortable with laying out the cash, do it. You will enjoy your wheeling much more. Also, ride on the street will be a little better and handling will still be good.

But if you have the correct angle on the lower arms you will have a fine street ride with short arms also. Its not really the length of the arms but of the angle those arms have to work with.

That is true. However some people with drop brackets complain about hanging them up on obstacles. The long arms slide off.
