Default looking for auxiliary lights

Currently I'm looking at the Hella 320FF and Hella FF75 lights. I plan to replace my headlamps with IPF H4 conversions and want some auxiliary lighting on the roof to come on with the high beams (but can also be shut off via a three way switch -- gotta keep it legal ). I don't want pencil beams or spot lights, I want them to light up everything like the high beams do. I like the low profile of the FF75's and would like to have 4 to 6 lights on the roof so the FF75's would be a lot cheaper too, but the 320FF's look like they would have more coverage. Can anyone using either of these lights comment or even better post pics of the projected light pattern. Also any recommendations for other brands/models would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx

if you upgrade your headlights, cheap aux lights aren't gonna do much. the FF75s suck, they dont throw a lot of light. four FF500s or even two FF500s or FF320s with good 100W bulbs (upgrade the wires and buy a good hella, osram, or narva 100W H3) would be nice. I really like the IPF lights as well. also, anything HID would be a good lamp.. they make $100 hella 4000 copies... theyre around

I figured the FF75's weren't so great, had my fingers crossed though. I also don't want to go HID, I have a set of 55 watt HIDs on the high beams of my '06 Civic and they take way too long to warm up, so I want to stick with all halogen on the XJ. I would rather have rectangular lights rather than the round ones, but if the round ones have significantly better light output I may reconsider. Are "driving lights" what I'm looking for beam pattern wise? Also, what are "Euro-beam" driving lights?

i have the 550s on my jeep on the roof, the beam pattern is pretty good, the output is alright with the stock 55w bulbs. i'm upgrading them to HID pretty soon. also, thats stupid expensive for them.. i got mine for 70 bucks. the IPF 868 lamps are MUCH better, i'd go for those.

as far as round vs. rectangle i never noticed a difference.

i have a set of amber hella 500s on my bumper, they work great. for a fog, just get something amber.

euro beams throw a bit more light on the passenger side, what you want are just 'driving lights'

looking at the IPF lights, I'm really drawn to the 968 and 868 series lights. Anyone else have experience with these lights? What bulb brands/types should I be looking at? I don't like the old yellow halogen look and I really don't want everything in front of me to look blue. What are some bulbs that have a true white or mostly white/slight yellow look to them (light on the road not what the bulbs look like when you're looking at them).

Thanx

my friend had IPF 968s for a while (got into an accident, they broke) they were awesome lights. he had the IPF 100w bulbs in them. any quality osram, narva, IPF, or hella bulb will NOT be blue. at all.
