The headliner is still removed in my 96 I can measure how far down the support bars hang if needed. Here's another off-topic, any chance the 3M 77 expires? I've had it probably 2 years lol

Not that I have any experience with this but thinking you need to be aware of the temp specs of whatever spray adhesive you use.
Betting it gets real hot up there in the sun in the Summer.
3M used to list it on the product page for each product. But it looks like they don't do that anymore.
I did find this:
Because of the heat up there that is why I am betting the cheap velcro that I used for the foam has since let go. LOL.
But I figured that would happen going in. MLOL.
