Default Looking at a hit 2000

Take a look at this one on Craigslist. Keep in mind this is the 3rd time it's listed and the 2nd time he was asking $1000.

I have a complete 1984 that I can use for parts. I believe the fender, hood, and glass is completely swappable. Hell I'd swap the whole front clip if needed. My big concern would be if the axle is bent, or if the chassis is badly twisted. I think it may be worth taking a look but I'm curious what others think.

not a chance i would pay $1200 for that..... you can find 97 and newer models for under $1500 with nothing wrong with them and drive em home.
Unless you do body/frame work and probably still then you will have way more in it than its worth.

dang, that looks like it took a hard lick.....hmmmm.....if all you have to do is replace that fender and do a little fabbing and the uni-body isn't bent then id say thats a pretty good deal, is the engine damaged at all? the damage goes pretty far inside there, probably messed up the brakes and maybe more...

He says the engine and transmission are fine buy maybe I'll go check it out tomorrow and bring a jack and stand. Where I live this would be a $3500 to $4000 vehicle if it wasn't damaged, and I wouldn't even think about it if I didn't have a full donor Jeep. But if I could get if to around $800 and do all the work myself (which I do anyways) it might be worth looking over. Thanks for the input guys.

idk where i live you can pick one up runing 83-98 for around 500-1000 with a decent body
im also in autobody and to fix that its going to need fender radiator support possibly radiator wheel well its a unibody frame so your either going to need to use a frame puller or cut out a new front clip new bumper most likly a front axel sway bar maybe upper and lower control arms and rims that ones definatly bent new hood and left side hood hindge new grill possibly left side motor mounts maybe air box and brake booster
thats way to much in damage to be worth it down here youd pay about 400 for that conditionand i still woundnt buy it and i doubt parts from an 84 are going to fit with out some messing with AFTER you get that front back alighned id say the actuall cost at a body shop to have that fixed would be around 4000+

The only way I would touch that would be to put the engine and tranny in something else. If you have a donor vehicle you might be better off to make it the project instead and use that totaled wreck for parts.
