I'm looking to buy a center console bracket for a 2000 Jeep Cherokee, there use to be a guy on here that made them but I can't find them. I don't own a welder so I can't make my own

they make these in metal?! i gotta get me one, mine broke 4 times already and it doesnt take much apparently to break them. i just rest my arm on the center console and snap. they must get brittle in the extreme heat as its black and in florida so a metal one would be awesome. and all the junk yard ones i gotta salvage together.

Yeah even brand new, the center console will still have a ton of play. This helps get rid of most of it.

id have to get it myself and see if it has play tho if its what i suspect just stick a plastic washer on the screw and should be nice and snug unless the whole console flexes i know they arent the best things on the world but better than nothing. plus this latest one i broke was because i took it apart and and it literally melted into the bottom of it and oh look another broken piece. all i wanted to do was take inside and wash it in the tub lol and yeah i went to get some concrete and the guy who stuck it in there for me dropped it and i guess and broke the bag open and one hard stop later poof im caked in concrete mix along with everything else. god i hate having a sprained shoulder....

You're thinking of ccooper1234:

I'm not sure if he's still selling them. Some of the offroad companies troll the message boards looking for ideas to appropriate, and once JCR started making them, a couple of other companies jumped on it as well. He may have stopped making them when the other guys stole his work. His thread is now locked.

I have one of Coop's brackets. It's a solid piece.

1999 to 2001 - Purchasing an aftermarket, steel, center console hold down bracket. I recently bought two brackets. One fit perfectly and the other was completely messed up. The best one was from Barnes4wd.com
