Loses all power when attempting to start

Default Loses all power when attempting to start
So I have a 99 4x4 4dr Cherokee and as of about an hour ago when I try to start it the starter clicks once and loses all power and I have to pull the automatic shut down relay. But if I jump the starter while having someone turn the key and feather the gas it will start. So my question is what could be wrong?

What loses power? The starter or the whole vehicle? Have you tried swapping the ASD relay?

The whole vehicle loses power. I've switched the different relays around a few times to try to check and see if that was the problem

Battery cables and connections. You have corrosion somewhere.
