I'm new here..bought my Jeep about a year ago and have found this forum to be super helpful!


I just finished replacing my steering gear box, along with new high/low pressure lines. Jacked up the front a bit and turned the wheel back and forth about 20 times to let new fluid run through. It looked like it sucked through as I ended up using about a liter of fluid. I set it down and let the car run a few minutes and turned wheel end to end a few more times..at this point I know the power steering was working as it was turning super easy...I checked the fluid level and everything looked good with no bubbles. I pulled out of the drive way and in about 30 ft completely lost power steering.....No leaks or anything weird from what I can tell, but I also am not exactly sure what to be looking for or what to do. Any ideas on what might be going on?

Let it sit for a half hour. add more fluid to proper level.
