Sometimes the float can get jammed up. Try hitting the bottom of the tank from inside the fender to see if it's jammed up.

I don't have an answer for you, but I have the same problem. It goes on and off. It was "on" almost all winter except when it was full. As soon as I would use some fluid, it would light up. It been close since the warm weather has been here.

Edit: Was slow typing......I'll try that too

Pull the plug on the connector and check the fluid when your checking the oil.

Or, use the old school technique. If it doesn't work, its empty....

I have learned to live with my light. The only time it turns off is when there is no fluid in the tank haha.

Thanks guys I figured out the problem. Believe it or not the plug in at the wiper jug had some type of gummy stuff on it. Cleaned it all off the contacts and plugged it back in and presto...the light is off.

Get some Oxgard from Lowes or HomeDepot in the electrical section. Apply it to those connections. Keeps corrosion down, same thing happened to mine.

I'll have to look at the plug too then. Although it never really bothered me.
