If it puts down 2 strips on pavement then its a lsd for sure, maybe pretty worn. Open diff only applies power to the wheel with the least resistance and is bias towards passenger rear and driver front. A spinning wheel on pavement has less friction (read resistance) than one not laying down rubber. static vs kinetic friction.

Yeah, I always like to argue against real world experience too, it makes a lot of sense.

Ive driven both and owned both. My one wheel wonder has never, i mean never put down 2 tire makes in dirt, pavement, snow, anything. You push the gas and well its called a one wheel wonder for a reason.

That's unfortunate but basically like I was saying, nothing on vehicles is absolute, especially not with stock parts. Best bet is to actually check in a legitimate way

That is most certainly a LSD. The square end on the carrier is a dead giveaway

X1.definitely a lsd.You'll need a open carrier to lock that
