Major Fuel Leak
I noticed a gas smell the night before last when I shut off my 89 Cherokee Limited, but inspected and found no leak. It was fairly cold out, so I just dismissed it.
Last night I started the Jeep and ran in the house for a minute while it was warming up. When I came out there was a puddle of gas on the ground under the front of the engine. It looked like up to a pint of gas had leaked in a 3 to 5 min period.
I shut it off and cleaned up the gas, then hosed the area down. It was dark so I waited until this morning to really look at it. I opened the hood (fire ext ready) and started it, then waited to see where it was leaking. It ran for 10 min and did not leak at all.
Has anyone ever had this problem? Could colder weather cause seal leaks? I am confused and afraid to drive my jeep. But it is my only vehicle.
Any and all suggestions welcomed.

Have someone start the vehicle with you at the engine compartment and check around the fuel rail while the rpm about around 2000. If the leak is that bad you will find it. If it is not the fuel rail, check all the fuel lines under the vehicle. Be careful!

Thanks. I will try that. I have a friend coming over tomorrow, and I get paid tomorrow too LOL. I have to be careful. This is my only vehicle, and I hate getting burned.
I thought it was odd that this seemed to happen only when it got really cold.
