Manual transmission question
Jeep newbie here. Just got a nice 2 door Cherokee with 4L & 5-speed 2wd.
160k miles, starts right up. When I start out in 1st gear, the vehicle starts to "chug" after about 20' of travel, and when I shift into 2nd, the same thing.
From 3rd on up, it shifts and drives like I would expect. After the truck has warmed up, this condition seems to get better.
Should I be concerned about this? I haven't owned a Jeep 5-speed before, and am not sure if this indicates some sort of a problem.
Please advise me on what to do!
Thanks

Update - I'm chasing this on another post; my mechanic says that clutch is fine, he suspects axle wrap/spring wrap caused by the rear end not being able to handle the torque when in 1st or 2nd. Still investigating.
Others have suggested failing transmission mounts or engine mounts.
Will post more when I have it.

Engine is running great. I thought it may be a clutch problem, but was assured clutch was good. Only happens in 1st & 2nd gear when leaving from a complete stop. The best way to describe it is like being on a bucking horse - stops the minute the clutch is engaged and the gear is changed.
