Map Sensor Issues.
My Jeep keeps eTing the Map sensor. Iv just been putting new ones on as needed (6-7 so far) and Im tired of waisting money on them. What would cause my Map sensor to go bad so often?

Sure it's not a plug issue or sensor ground issue?

Im pretty sure because every time I change the sensor it fixes the issue for a few months. I have tried the old sensors I have saved from everytime I have replaced them and the Jeep acts up with them installed. Iv noticed it happens more so when the engine warms up. It started happening after I flipped in the ditch a while back. Since then I have done 95% of all your write ups. The most recent one being you ground refreshing/replacing as Iv been in alot of water since then.

Send me a dead one if you want. I'll do an autopsy! A wild guess, the ECU might be over volting it? It must have some sort of pot in it. (potentiometer). One might dremmel the housing open and see if it looks cooked.

You don't wanna be messing with signal modifiers at this point, if at all.

Ok will check it asap. I wouldnt mess with them unless I understood why it would be useful. I always trust my Renix expert on such issues. Hmm you wanna just come rebuild my Jeep for me man?
